FINANCE WITH AFSHINMONEY TOOLKIT
Your toolkit, explained

Privacy notice

How Finance with Afshin uses information to run the Money Toolkit, check subscriber access and respond to enquiries.

Updated 5 November 2026

Who is responsible

Afshin Zainy, operating as Finance with Afshin, is responsible for deciding how personal information is used for this website. This is the data controller.

For privacy questions, account closure or information-rights requests, email support@financewithafshin.co.uk.

Information we use

  • Account information: your email address, account identifier, email confirmation, authentication and account-security records. Your password is submitted securely to our authentication service; it is not displayed in the owner dashboard.
  • Subscriber verification: the Facebook name, profile link or reference used to match your subscription to your website account; approval or revocation records, verification dates and access expiry. This comes from you, correspondence with you and Afshin’s check of Facebook subscriber information.
  • Website membership purchases: accepted offer and terms version, acceptance time, UK residence declaration, request to start access, Stripe identifiers and payment/access status. We use these to carry out your subscription, record the agreement, manage access and handle payment enquiries. Stripe collects payment-card details and billing information on its pages.
  • Technical information: IP addresses, browser and request details, email-delivery and security records processed by our hosting, authentication and email providers to operate and protect the service.
  • Correspondence: the address and information you choose to include in support, partnership or consultation enquiries. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or sensitive financial documents in an initial enquiry.

Calculator figures

When you submit a calculator, your entries are sent to the website server to produce the requested illustration. The application does not save them to your membership record or connect to your bank, lender, investment or pension account. The result page displays the submitted scenario. Your browser may retain page or form history, and service providers process the technical request; use a private device if the figures are sensitive.

What you need to provide

You can read the public guides without registering. An email address and password are needed to create an account. We need enough information to match an active Facebook subscription before granting that subscriber benefit; without that check, a free account does not unlock member calculators.

Why we use information

Provide your requested account and access
Register and authenticate you, send confirmation or recovery emails, verify eligibility and provide the toolkit benefit. Our lawful basis is performing the account and access arrangement you request, or taking steps at your request before entering it.
Protect the service and resolve access problems
Prevent misuse, secure accounts, record verification decisions and investigate access disputes. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in a secure service and fair subscriber access.
Answer correspondence
Respond to support, partnership and educational-session enquiries. We rely on steps you request in connection with an agreement, or our legitimate interests in responding to other correspondence.
Meet legal requirements
Where a legal obligation applies, keep or disclose the information required to comply with it.

The website has no newsletter signup or advertising-personalisation flow. Calculator results are illustrations of the figures you enter. Subscriber checks are made by Afshin; the website then checks the recorded access status and expiry date. You can contact support to query an access decision.

Providers and international processing

These services help deliver the website. They receive the information needed for their role:

  • Cloudflare: hosting, website requests, delivery and security. Cloudflare’s data-processing information.
  • Supabase: authentication, account and membership records, and verification history. Account confirmation and password-recovery emails are sent through Supabase’s configured email-delivery service, which processes recipient addresses, message content and delivery records. Supabase’s data-processing information.
  • Zoho Mail: the business inbox used for support and other enquiries. Zoho’s UK privacy information.
  • Stripe: website subscriptions and payments, including account email, payment/customer identifiers, subscription status, the terms version accepted, acceptance time and your UK residence declaration. Stripe handles payment details, billing addresses and payment receipts. Payment-card entry is handled on Stripe’s pages; the toolkit database does not store full card numbers. Stripe’s privacy information.

These providers operate internationally and may process information outside the UK. Their published processing documents describe their international arrangements, including contractual transfer safeguards where applicable. The links above explain the providers’ published terms; they do not mean that all information stays in the UK. Contact support@financewithafshin.co.uk to ask about the locations and safeguards relevant to your information or obtain further information about them.

Facebook manages its subscriptions and payments under Meta’s own terms and privacy information. Visiting a social link takes you to that platform. We may also disclose information where required by law or to handle a legal claim.

Necessary cookies

The application uses these necessary cookies to provide secure account features:

__Host-fwa_access
Keeps your authenticated session: up to one hour.
__Host-fwa_refresh
Renews your login session: set for up to 30 days and renewed when the session is refreshed.
__Host-fwa_reset_verifier
Links a password-reset request to the same browser: up to 10 minutes.
__Host-fwa_reset_access
Authorises choosing a new password after a valid recovery link: up to 10 minutes.

These cookies use secure, HTTP-only settings. Signing out clears the login cookies; a successful password reset clears the reset cookies. Blocking necessary cookies prevents login or recovery from working. The application does not add advertising or optional analytics cookies.

How long information is kept

Account information is kept while the account remains open and is needed to provide or secure it. Expiry of subscriber access does not automatically delete your account or its verification history.

The period needed for verification records, correspondence and security information depends on whether access is still being provided, an enquiry or dispute remains unresolved, the information is needed to prevent misuse, or a legal requirement applies. Provider technical and email-delivery records are also subject to the relevant service’s retention settings.

There is no automatic account-deletion timetable. You can ask support@financewithafshin.co.uk to close your account or delete information. We will consider what can be deleted and explain any information that needs to be retained for a valid reason. Account closure does not itself cancel recurring payments. Cancel your Facebook or website subscription through its payment provider first. Purchase agreements and payment records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations and resolve disputes after an account closes.

Your rights and questions

Depending on the information and lawful basis, you can ask for access to your personal information, correction, erasure, restriction of use or a portable copy. We may need to confirm your identity securely. A right may be limited where an applicable legal exception or obligation requires information to be kept.

You can raise a concern with us or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). You do not have to contact us first to complain to the ICO.

We will update this notice when the way the service handles information changes and bring significant changes to account holders’ attention as appropriate.
